A current list of Non NHS Medical Services fees is held in reception. It you have any queries regarding these, please enquire at Reception.

Medical Certificates

Self certification notes are available from your employer for sickness of up to one week. Any certificate required from the Doctor for periods up to the first week can only be provided as a private certificate for which there is a charge.

Travel Health and Immunisations

We pleased to offer our registered patients a travel health service.

Our nurse uses up to date information to advise you on your health needs related to destinations around the world. They can administer most vaccinations and provide prescriptions for treatments where needed.

Many people are taking long haul holidays requiring complicated courses of vaccines. To assist you in these requirements we stock a large amount of travel related health promotion material, and have links to travel related websites below.

Non-urgent advice: Temporary Suspension of Travel Immunisations

The temporary suspension of travel immunisation clinics is still currently active.

This is following national guidance to allow our nursing team to concentrate on important long term conditions appointments.

Mosquito Bite Avoidance for Travellers

In many tropical countries, mosquitoes can spread diseases such as dengue, chikungunya, West Nile, malaria, yellow fever and Zika. Here are five simple rules you should follow to reduce your risk of infections spread by mosquitoes.

Travel Vaccination Charges

We offer most of the travel health service at no additional charge to the patient. However the NHS does not cover the cost of all the treatments you may need. Therefore, for some services you may need to pay.

A list of these charges is held at reception.

Home Visits

Home visits are available on request for patients who are housebound, terminally ill or too ill to come to the surgery. We can see 6 or 7 patients in an hour at the surgery but only 2 or 3 patients on home visits. All requests for home visits will be assessed by a doctor.

If you need a visit please telephone the surgery before 11am. Calls received after 11am are passed to the on call doctor and thus may not be your preferred doctor.

The doctor may sometimes phone you, suggest you make an appointment instead of visiting or arrange a transfer to hospital. If your request for a visit is urgent you can phone at any time.

We are always happy to visit at home patients who are housebound through disability or illness, but please bear in mind that we can generally see patients more promptly here at the practice, and that we have better facilities for examination.

Rashes and high temperatures do not preclude patients from coming to the practice, and will not endanger others, but please tell the receptionist when booking the appointment, and on arrival.

Please note that having no transport does not justify a home visit.
